Ohh yes, Apex Legends is getting a board game and we're already sold. Having launched in 2019, Apex has proved to be one of few battle royales that have passed the test of time, and with its overarching Titanfall influence and deep lore, the futuristic shooter has become a massive part of the genre.

Unlike many other games that it competes with, Apex Legends delves into the backgrounds of its protagonists, with backstories and vengeful storylines intertwining to add flavour to each and every gunfight that players get into.

Now though, the stories are being brought outside of the game and into the literal hands of the fans, as Respawn Entertainment is launching a board game.

Together with the game-maker Glass Cannon Unplugged, Electronic Arts is bringing out Apex Legends: The Board Game, featuring four of the most iconic legends of the game in a spar of wits and tactics.

According to a news release (relayed by Polygon) the board game is "an intensely tactical team vs. team miniatures game for 2-4 players."

It takes roughly an hour to complete, which is almost the same time as two full Apex Legends matches - should you be the type of player to last past the original drop-off. The game is dubbed as a "fully immersive, three-dimensional environment taken straight from the screen".

The Apex Legends board game takes inspiration from the battle royale experience

With Gibraltar, Wraith, Bangalore, and Bloodhound all set to feature in the initial launch of the Apex Legends: The Board Game, Glass Cannon Unplugged has also detailed that players will have to use their battle royale nuance to make sure their weapons, ammo, and positioning on the board are up to par.

Set to be released on May 17, 2023, the board game will be available to be ordered through Kickstarter, where the Polish-based company will take Kings Canyon around the globe.

All that's left to do is roll the dice on which character you can insta-lock in the game. Hopefully, you won't have to fight your other two teammates to lock in Wraith or Bloodhound...
