The Helldivers of Helldivers 2 players have been laser-focused on bringing democracy to the galaxy, and it doesn't look like they’re willing to let up just yet. Players are still invested in wiping Terminids and Automatons off the map for good, but as their offensive strengthens, more fighters than ever are needed.

It's just as well that Arrowhead Game Studios has Joel, dedicated to keeping the pushback against fans level. They're proving their mettle by sweeping Major Orders in a fraction of the time they're supposed to. Despite the latest order from Super Earth testing players to the limit, they're not giving up that easily.

Helldivers 2's recent Major Order is brutal

Spotting that players are keeping Arrowhead on its toes, the Major Orders that have just come in from Super Earth are tougher than ever. It demands that players rally to keep the Automaton menace and swathes of bugs at bay.

The latest Major Order from base is a big ask of players, as the Helldivers are issued the order to "succeed in the defense of at least 10 planets," asking fighters to "defend our territory on both fronts" against both classes of foe. At the time of writing, they've only got 12 hours left to do it.

The original post in the Helldivers 2 subreddit shares concern that players might not manage it, asking fans "is it possible? [...] I might be crazy but I think we can do this if we all go ham and strictly do defense missions."

The original post might have shaken faith (for good reason) as well as a few spotted comments adding that "it’s over." For hardened Helldivers, though, they're refusing to throw in the towel.

"With managed democracy, anything is possible," responds one comment to the concern that the Major Order can't be done. Behind them, players have united in optimism that the challenge can be defeated like almost every Major Order that came before it.

"Just had 4 successful missions straight on Varylia 5 with a GREAT pickup group," adds another. "We can do it, Helldivers!"

"Don't ask, just do. Helldivers to Hellpods," signs off a different user, and with that, it's clear that players aren't giving up in the face of adversity, even when the cards are stacked against them. It's enough to bring a tear to your democracy-loving eye.
