Fortnite Leak Hints At WandaVision Skins In Chapter 2 Season 5

There's no need to "Wanda" if any more Fortnite skins are on the way as part of the all-star Chapter 2 Season 5. Don't adjust your sets, because it looks like another Marvel crossover could be coming to the map with the introduction of WandaVision skins before the final credits roll. While the characters of Wanda Maximoff and Vision has a long history in Marvel Comics, they've found a new lease of life in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Despite their complex past and one of them being *erm* dead, the pair is currently the talk of the town thanks to WandaVision

Chapter 2 Season 5 of Fortnite picks up where we left off with Marvel's Galactus trying to swallow the map in Season 4. Although the Marvel days are seemingly behind us, and POIs like Doom's Domain and Stark Industries have been removed, the aftermath of the villain's actions are being felt as Agent Jonesy goes after various characters trying to escape their loop. Even though we've seen Season 5 be overtaken by the best hunters in pop culture, there could still be a hint of that Marvel magic thanks to the Fortnite WandaVision skins.

Why do fans think WandaVision skins are coming to Fortnite?

The idea of Wandavision skins in Fortnite first started doing the rounds when known leaker ShiinaBR founded three encrypted skin sets gong under the cryptic names of "BikeCatch", "ToneTrip", and "AcutePanic". Epic's v15.40 update led to the discovery of two new hunter portals called Kelper (a possible male skin set) and Skirmish (tipped to be a male and female). Just like we've seen The Walking Dead's Daryl and Michonne and Terminator's T-800 and Sarah Connor, this season is no stranger to male and female sets.

The MCU is known for its wild theories, and when it comes to Wandavision, things are no different. In response to ShiinaBR's original leak, one player wrote, "acutePanic could be wanda right???? cause she’s panicking the whole time", while another added, "Tone trip could be WandaVision cause of the tone tripping and changing all the time in the show". For those who don't know, each episode of WandaVision plays out as a different sitcom from a different era of TV. So far, we've seen the likes of The Dick Van Dyke ShowThe Brady Bunch, and Malcolm in the Middle, with homages to The Office and Modern Family are also expected.

Despite leaving most of Marvel in Season 4, remember the Marvel Royalty and Warriors Pack finally brought Black Panther to the shop as he was joined by Captain Marvel and Taskmaster. We've also seen plenty of nods to DC thanks to Green Arrow being included as part of the January Fortnite Crew and the Flash recently making his debut in his own cup before being added to the shop.

Are WandaVision skins really coming to Fortnite?

As much as we'd love to see Scarlet Witch and Vis turn the map into their very own trippy town, we're going to air on the side of caution with this one. Connecting a few cryptic placeholder names to the pair is a stretch, to say the least. Then again, who else would be part of a male and female skin pair? Batman and Catwoman, Bonnie and Clyde, Meredith Grey and McDreamy? It definitely makes sense that the darling duo could be just over the horizon.

Critics have also pointed out that the seemingly bizarre placeholder names usually tie into the actual skin. Before Ninja's skin came out, it was teased under TourBus for Tyler Blevins. By this logic, Wanda would have to be under something like WindmillMelons and Vision would presumably be something like Velociraptor. Then again, we've been wrong about these things before. Also, remember that Epic Games Worldwide Creative Director Donald Mustard promised Season 4 was just the start of Marvel collaborations

If Fortnite WandaVision skins are coming, it will be interesting to see what they look like. Even though Epic has been cashing in on our love of Marvel, previous skins have been modelled on the comics, not the MCU. Then again, WandaVision is held by some as the best thing the MCU has ever delivered, so why wouldn't Fortnite want to board the hype train?
