While much of the Call of Duty battle royale focus has been on the console variant of Warzone in recent weeks and months, there still remains a large fan base awaiting some more updates as to when the mobile app will land and Verdansk can return.

Warzone's developers have invested quite a lot of energy into reviving the game, with the most recent launch of its first-ever Ranked mode hoping it will kick-start a new competitive lust relationship with its fans.

So with the attention averted, Warzone Mobile seems to be getting the short straw and has been unofficially delayed.

Activision has never quite told the world when Warzone Mobile is going to be readily available for players around the world, and after promising footage has already been leaked, players found that the App Stores listed the game would launch on May 15.

However, after months of silence, it now seems like the original May 15 deadline is not possible. The various App Stores have now been updated with a new delayed release date. It now appears that updates state Warzone Mobile won't be launching until November 1.

Warzone Mobile hopefuls are angry at silent game delay

Interestingly, this pushes Warzone Mobile to Q4, where Activision is renowned for releasing games to push its annual revenue streams through the roof. It comes with Christmas on the horizon, where microtransactions are at an all-time high.

"They wait until a few days to release, then bump it 6 months. I've terminated their contract," one fan said on Twitter, who has rescinded their sign-up form.

With Verdansk announced to be the playable map, fans are now upset that they will have to wait another six months to relive the glory days and blame the developers for not wanting to draw any attention away from the already-struggling Warzone 2.

Activision recently confirmed that Warzone Mobile will definitely be coming in 2023, alongside Call of Duty 2023, which now have the same release dates pencilled in.
