But with many seeing the game as a glorified expansion to its base game Rainbow Six Siege, they are beginning to wonder if the game is free-to-play. But is Rainbow Six Extraction free-to-play? Rainbow Six Extraction released just last week, surprising a lot of critics with its finely-tuned shooter mechanics and hardcore progression system. But is Rainbow Six Extraction free-to-play? Sadly, Extraction is not a free-to-play title, but it also isn't a full-priced game either. 

Retailing at £40/$40, players can pick up the game on new-gen consoles for around £20/$20 cheaper than usual, but that's not all. Rainbow Six Extraction also features a trial system that lets you try out the game for free. Learn how to download the Rainbow Six Extraction trial with our guide. 

Additionally, the game also features a Buddy Pass system, which allows those who own the game to invite their friends over for a limited-time trial of the game. So while a Rainbow Six Extraction free-to-play never came to pass, there are plenty of options for those that are unwilling to shell out for a full priced game.
