No Rest for the Wicked is out in early access, but right now it doesn't have co-op or multiplayer functionality.

However, Moon Studios has revealed that the game will eventually get multiplayer features so you can play in co-op with friends. We've got all the current details about the game's upcoming multiplayer mode below.

Will No Rest for the Wicked get co-op?

Moon Studios has confirmed that multiplayer will eventually be added to the game. We don't have an exact release date for the feature, but it's planned as one of the first updates to arrive.

The multiplayer will be limited to just four players, and PVP is also on the cards. We don't really know any more details about multiplayer beyond that, so we'll have to wait a bit longer to find out more, but be assured it's coming.

Here's the full roadmap for No Rest for the Wicked and the order in which updates for the game are planned currently:

  • Launch - Steam Early Access
  • Update 1 - Multiplayer
  • Update 2 - The Breach
  • And Beyond - Further Updates

As you can see, multiplayer is currently planned for the first big update of the game following its early access release in April 2024. Hopefully, that means players keen to experience the game with others won't have too long to wait.

Beyond that, "The Breach" will be the next major update for the game. This is likely to be a new area or another significant piece of the game's content, but we don't have full details just yet. Right now the game only has one act, so The Breach could be the second one.
