Announced by SEGA ahead of the Sights, Sounds, and Speed update's release, the Sonic Frontiers Challenge Modes will be accessible after completing the game's main story campaign. Once you have beaten the story, you will have access to two different Challenge Modes via the title screen: Cyber Space Challenge and Battle Rush.

Whilst Cyber Space Challenge is described as a time-attack mode where players can race against the clock to beat multiple Cyber Space stages in a row, Battle Rush is a timed-battle mode Sonic Frontiers. This will pit you against multiple powerful enemies at once, including Guardians and Titans.

The Sonic Frontiers Challenge Modes will be released with the rest of the Sights, Sounds, and Speed update on Thursday, 23 March at 12AM GMT. Along with the update's other features of a Photo Mode and Jukebox, these Challenge Modes will be available across all of the game's platforms: PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
