Stellar Blade is a surprisingly challenging game. Enemies are fast and numerous and simply blocking doesn't grant Eve immunity from all damage. The game does give you a few ways of improving Eve's survivability, however.

To increase Eve's max health, you have to find Body Cores. These can be found on the glowing corpses of fallen Earth-dwellers. Simply collect three and Eve's maximum health will be increased. There are similar to the Beta Cores which increase your maximum number of Beta Skill uses for every three you collect.

Just having a big health bar isn't enough, you're going to need to heal Eve as well. There are a few ways of doing this. The most permanent is increasing the number of charges her Rechargeable Tumbler has. To do this, you'll need to defeat small robots marked with blue. You can find them by hitting the touchpad and causing Adam's robot to send out a scanner pulse. Some of them drop a Tumbler Expansion module. Collect enough and you can increase the number of charges it has.

You can also stock up on consumable healing items. Unlike the Rechargeable Rumbler which replenishes its uses each time Eve rests, these have to be bought. There are Lingering Potions and Highly Concentrated Potions. The more cans you collect, the more of these you can carry at once. Just be warned, buying these does get expensive, so maybe save them for boss fights or particularly tough gauntlets.

There's also a Recovery-Type Exospine that can increase the effectiveness of all healing. However, this is only a ten percent buff, so I'd recommend going with a spine that makes you more deadly. The best way to stay alive is to just not get hit, so dispatch your foes quickly and dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge.
