Can the Secret Request on Stellar Blade's Bulletin Board be accepted?
Secret Request getting instantly refused on the Stellar Blade Bulletin Board was as big a confusion for me, as I'm sure it has been for a lot of players.
Since almost every other request can be accepted, I wanted to be sure that this wasn't an unfortunate bug. After reloading my save to see if there was any way to make Secret Request playable in the game, I can confirm that this is a feature rather than a bug.
Can Secret Request be accepted?
No, Secret Request cannot be accepted in Stellar Blade. Despite checking the Bulletin Board for any secret options, I found EVE will always refuse the request no matter what.
That might be because of the moral implications behind Secret Request, as it involves a client asking you to essentially get them drugs so they can keep "overclocking [their] brain". That doesn't have much wiggle room when you're an Angel of the 7th Airborne Squad.
Click to enlargeThe follow-up question to this would be why include the quest at all if it will always be refused? From a speculatory point of view, this could merely be Shift Up's decision to add an extra layer of realism to Stellar Blade's sci-fi world.
After all, there's almost always a moral grey area explored in works of fiction. No matter how fantastical it may be, there's most often real-world thinking applied to ground it in reality and make situations relatable.
In Secret Request's case, even in this futuristic story of a cyborg warrior lady aiding the regular citizens of Xion, there's bound to be one or two calls for help that push the envelope a bit too far.
