#10 - Thibaut Courtois (90)
Courtois is a bit of an odd one, as he only played four games in LaLiga last season due to an unfortunate ACL injury. EA typically doesn't downgrade players based on injury alone, and his return in the Champions League final is certainly enough to cement his place among the top 10.
#9 - Kevin De Bruyne (90)
While he was certainly instrumental in Manchester City's second-half title charge, missing the first half of the season and a disappointing EUROs campaign have led to a single-point downgrade.
He still managed an impressive 14 goal contributions in 18 games within the Premier League season though, including a game-changing performance against Newcastle in his first game back from injury.
#8 - Jude Bellingham (90)
He was alright among the game's biggest stars before his move to Real Madrid, but last season catapulted Jude Bellingham to superstardom, albeit with a weaker end to the campaign.
You might expect the cover star to be right at the top of the ratings, but I'm not sure whether EA will be willing to bump him all the way up to 91 from his previous rating of 86.
#7 - Harry Kane (90)
Harry Kane certainly needs no introduction, and while his trophy woes still persist even after the EUROs and a season in the Bundesliga, there is no doubt that he's among the best players in the world.
Picking up 55 goals in all competitions over the past year, he also earned the European Golden Shoe - beating out other huge names like Mbappe and Haaland.
#6 - Erling Haaland (90)
This might seem a bit harsh, but I could see EA giving Erling Haaland a downgrade following on from last season. He certainly still performed, picking up 27 goals in 31 Premier League games and earning him the Golden Boot by a considerable margin, but it does look weaker in comparison to his record-breaking previous season.
There is no doubt that Haaland is among the best players in the world, but he might not have quite shown the level needed to share the top rating this past season.
#5 - Caroline Graham Hansen (91)
The next five players are mostly interchangeable, all sharing the highest rating in the game, but first up is Barcelona's Caroline Graham Hansen. It'd be no surprise if the Norweigan winger is upgraded after a simply staggering season in Liga F and the Champions League, earning 40 goal contributions in 25 games in the former.
While she is perhaps still not the star of her team - more on that shortly - Hansen more than deserves her place at the top, and she's a player who will no doubt be among the most popular in the game too.
#4 - Vinicius Jr. (91)
Among the frontrunners for the Ballon d'Or is Vinicius Jr., and that is certainly no surprise after the season that he's had. Starring in both a LaLiga and Champions League double, the Brazilian winger has firmly cemented himself among the best, and it would be very surprising if he doesn't share the top spot when it comes to ratings.
Whether EA factors in his disappointing national team performance is yet to be seen though, and that could perhaps see him pipped for the top spot.
#3 - Rodri (91)
Following on from Spain's EUROs victory, Rodri's claim for the Ballon d'Or has only grown stronger - and rightfully so. You could argue that this move to the top spot is overdue after his instrumental place within Manchester City's treble-winning 22/23 season, but I have no doubt that the defensive midfielder will be rewarded in the upcoming game.
Whether his stats will reflect the rating is yet to be seen though, as EA have always struggled to really capture what makes players like Rodri, Busquets, and others really shine, but hopefully the new Football IQ systems outlined in our preview will accommodate him more.
#2 - Aitana Bonmati (91)
Aitana Bonmati continues to be the best player in the best team and thus is a lock for this position and many other individual awards. She excelled during Barcelona's quadruple-winning season, proving instrumental in every competition and scoring a vital opening goal in the Champions League final.
Now on course to pick up her second and consecutive Ballon d'Or, Bonmati also shares a position on the Ultimate Edition cover, which is more than deserved when it comes to her status in football.
#1 - Kylian Mbappe (91)
I would be incredibly surprised if Kylian Mbappe doesn't continue to maintain his position at the forefront of the game. This feels even more certain following on from his move to Real Madrid, raising his profile and potential even higher than you could previously have imagined.
While some disparage the competitiveness of Ligue 1, it's hard to deny the numbers as Mbappe stands consistently among Europe's top scorers - even from his favoured left wing. Whether he continues the same scoring form in Spain is yet to be seen, but he will definitely maintain the shared top spot this coming year.
