Unlike many triple-A games, Final Fantasy 16 New Game Plus is available from launch as soon as you complete the story. So, let's get into everything that carries over in FF16's New Game+, including the added Final Fantasy Mode.

Available by using your Clear Data after completing the story, Final Fantasy 16 New Game Plus carries the following over:

  • Clive's level - whilst enemy levels remain the same
  • Unlocked abilities
  • Items and gear
  • Weapons can be upgraded a further three times
  • Upgrades for potion healing and capacity

However, it should be kept in mind that along with all main quests and side quests being the same in FF16's New Game+, what won't be carried over is the progress and scores you've achieved in Arcade mode.

Final Fantasy Mode is an additional hard-difficulty mode that's only playable through New Game Plus. So, this extra mode is perfect for those looking for an extra challenge if they found the base Story Focused or Action Focused modes far too easy.

Final Fantasy Mode in Final Fantasy 16 New Game Plus carries the following over, with some further tweaks to the game:

  • Clive's level - whilst enemies have higher levels, stats, and aggression
  • Unlocked abilities
  • Items and gear
  • Weapons can be upgraded a further three times
  • Ultima Weapon crafting recipe available
  • Upgrades for potion healing and capacity
  • Level cap for Clive increases from 50 to 100.
  • Alternative enemies are placed in dungeons.

Like in the standard New Game Plus, FF16's Final Fantasy Mode won't change any of the main quests or side quests, as well as not carrying over Arcade Mode progress and scores.

That's everything you need to know about Final Fantasy 16 New Game Plus.
