In Modern Warfare 2, there might come a time when you need to find your Activision ID. This important piece of information is tied to your account in Modern Warfare 2, allowing you to add players from other platforms to your friend list. Without it, much of the cross-play functionality will be out of bounds to you, so it's important that you know how to find your Activision ID. MW2 Activision ID: How To Find It

Finding your Activision ID in Modern Warfare 2 is incredibly simple if you know where to look. Follow these steps to find the information you're looking for:

  1. Access the Modern Warfare 2 settings menu by clicking the cog icon in the top right of the screen
  2. Now, click on 'Account & Network' at the bottom of the list
  3. The second option down should say 'Activision Account' - select this
  4. Your Activision ID should be displayed in the centre of your screen beneath your emblem

 

MW2 Activision ID: How To Use It

Your Activision ID is tied to your Modern Warfare 2 account, and it's how other players can add you to their friend lists. To add someone to your friend list using their Activision ID, you'll need to follow these steps:

  1. Open up the Modern Warfare 2 Social Hub from the settings launcher
  2. Click on the 'Friends' tab at the top of your screen
  3. Select the 'Add Friends' button
  4. Copy and paste a friend's Activision ID into the empty request box and hit 'Send Request'
