It's been a topsy-turvy few months for Call of Duty: Warzone, as it sits in a state of limbo amid a dwindling Caldera and the wait for its sequel. Even though this may be the most unbalanced era the game has ever seen, one fan-made feature has now toppled Warzone on its head and sent it into the Upside-Down.

To celebrate Stranger Things Season 4, and the release of Part 2 (it's okay, there will be no spoilers here), a Warzone fan has taken to the workshop to bring the satanic antagonist, Vecna, into the realms of battle royale.

Vecna, a fictional character originating in the Dungeons and Dragons Lore has since become a demonic possessor in Stranger Things, and now his signature killing move has been re-made in Warzone by a fan.

Vecna's Finishing Move Made In Warzone

Described in D&D lore as a powerful wizard who evaded death with spell-casting and adopted snake-like limbs as a desiccated corpse, the Stranger Things adaptation has seen the demigod find a signature way of killing his possessed foes from within the Upside-Down.

The Star Wars-esque 'force' mimic sees Vecna lift his prey into the air before snapping their limbs and taking their eyes - a nod to his own background. Having used this move on more than one occasion in the series, one fan has recreated the action in Warzone to be used as a Finishing Move.

The fan-made design also includes the chiming of Vecna's beloved grandfather clock and the crunching of the bones, which adds an especially eerie and gruesome reality check to the in-game move.

Is A Stranger Things x Warzone Collab On The Way?

Since releasing Season 4, Stranger Things has begun to pop up in the gaming sphere quite frequently. Mostly, Grace Van Dien, who plays Chrissy, has been capitalising on her cameo to build a larger audience for her streaming channels by playing VALORANT. Most recently, she appeared in Among Us games alongside Jeremy "Disguised Toast" Wang, Rachel "Valkyrae" Hofstetter, and Leslie "Fuslie" Ann Fu.

As far as a Stranger Things x Warzone collaboration goes, the Vecna finishing move was created by a fan, rather than the developers. However, knowing Activision's thirst for cash through in-game microtransactions, comments from fans such as, "I’d definitely want a Murray skin", and "a Hopper operator would go hard", will likely be food for thought.

While Stranger Things might not be opening a gate into Warzone any time soon, it does breed as a positive sign for the future, and the devs might take notes before season five airs in 2024.
