Some weapons arrive in Warzone and never quite get the credit they deserve. Whether they're underpowered at release, or just don't feel particularly impactful in-game, these guns are often tossed to the wayside and forgotten.

This was definitely the case for the Lachmann Shroud, which made its debut in Season 5 Reloaded and has never managed to get a foothold in the meta.

As a burst SMG, it has a set of incredibly unique features but can also feel very strange compared to a lot of other weapons in the category.

Well, Warzone expert Metaphor believes this "shotgun" style SMG is a sleeper pick and also has one of the "fastest TTks" at close range.

Despite everyone calling out the Lachmann Shroud as a "dud" when it arrived on the arsenal, Metaphor loves it and it's actually his "favourite SMG in the game right now."

Equipped with a devastating TTK and plenty of mobility, the weapon absolutely tears apart foes in close-quarter gunfights.

Its burst fire almost makes it a "shotgun SMG hybrid," so it's perfect for anyone who is looking for something different and is bored of the typical close-range options.

The Lachmann Shroud will take some practice to master, but it's well worth putting in the hours and with a recommendation from Metaphor, you can't go wrong.

How popular is the Lachmann Shroud in Warzone?

Sitting at a 0.5% pick rate overall according to WZStats, the Lachmann Shroud was almost instantly forgotten by every single Warzone player.

Seen as a worse version of the Lachmann Sub, this gun is truly being slept on and deserves your attention in Season 6.

So, don't follow the crowd and give this SMG a chance, you certainly won't regret it and your KDA may just take a turn for the better.
