Warzone, the console variant, has been riddled with manipulative content since day one, with some more shameless players opting to use Cronus software, VPNs, and outright hacks.
But those planning to take up similarly exploitative arms on Warzone Mobile might not be as lucky.
Already, prior to Warzone Mobile's release later this month, Activision is dishing out glaring warnings for those who think they can get away with modifying the game to their advantage.
Warzone Mobile will not allow FOV settings
In Warzone, many players will be familiar with FOV sliders, having been exclusive to PC for some time before becoming available on console and levelling up the playing field.
The feature allows for users to see more area on one screen, which despite reducing the size of targets, also ups your aim assist and is a popular setting.
But in Warzone Mobile, everyone will be set to the same field of view settings, and anyone who uses any third-party software to modify this will be up for a ban as their punishment.
This was confirmed by Activision themselves, who are restricting increased FOV settings given that some devices will not be able to sustain the graphics required for an increased field, and therefore opens up a skill gap which is simply 'pay-to-win'.
Warzone Mobile to dish out bans for FOV modifiers
Taking to a Discord channel, Activision said, "We'll be updating our security policy closer to launch, but generally that's not going to say explicitly we will ban you for modifying FOV files.
"However, it will likely (just like the rest of those security & enforcement policies) say that it is possible to be banned or enforced on for modifying any game files, especially any that may give any kind of advantage."
Juggling the size of different devices, such as smaller phones to bigger iPads will be quite a difficult task for Activision, but sticking to the same set of rules should help keep Verdansk's playing field quite even.
