Ludwig "Ludwig" Ahgren has added his voice to the backlash of Addison Rae's controversial new blue light skincare product, 'Screen Break'.

TikTok star Addison Rae found herself in hot water on February 1, when it was announced she was launching her on skincare product Screen Break - a facial mist spray which aims to protect skin from blue light emitted from computer screens. She was subsequently slammed on Twitter as the streaming community quickly pointed out the backlash that Rachel "Valkyrae" Hofstetter received for launching a very similar skincare range, RFLCT.

Now, YouTuber Ludwig has added his voice to the mix by claiming that Addison was "pathetic" for seemingly not doing any research before agreeing to sign on to Screen Break.

What Did Ludwig Say About Addison Rae's New Blue Light Product?

Speaking in a YouTube video about the product, Ludwig criticised Addison for signing on to promote the product, given the highly-publicised backlash that Valkyrae received for launching her own blue light skin cream RFLCT. Ludwig claimed that "it's just pathetic" that Addison didn't appear to do any research before signing on because "a cursory Google search" would have shown it's "not a good idea."

Speaking further about the controversy surrounding 'blue light' cosmetics, Ludwig further disputed that there was any such need for any such products as blue light seemingly does nothing to harm skin.

Ludwig further compared the move to celebrities controversially endorsing NFTs, which has been heavily debated and panned across the gaming industry. He explained that Addison promoting Screen Break is like "if I announced an NFT tomorrow. Like, if I somehow missed everything that happened, and I was like "you know what'd be sick? If I did a bunch of Ludwig NFTs."" He continued: "I don't get how you're than tone deaf to see we don't f*ck with the blue light cream anymore."

Ludwig Claims TikTok Is To Blame For Addison Rae's Screen Break Face Spray

Despite slamming the 21-year-old for Screen Break, Ludwig also stated that Addison shouldn't be entirely to blame for her endorsing the spray. Rather the finger should be pointed at TikTok "for not paying [its] creators enough." The YouTuber also couldn't get over the fact that TikTok supposedly pays only "two and half cents for every thousand views."

Addison Rae hasn't publicly commented about the backlash, as of writing. For the streaming community, however, the topic is far from over.
