In an unexpected collision of different worlds, fans of the upcoming Call of Duty skin line release, featuring video game icon Lara Croft, claim to have spotted an uncanny resemblance to adult film actress turned Twitch streamer, Sasha Grey.

The new skin is set to drop on September 9th, and Twitter has been buzzing with side-by-side comparisons and questions. Now the streamer has responded to the comparisons.

Fans spot resemblance

Twitter user @JennyZombie69 brought attention to the likeness, saying, "Tell me why she kinda/slightly looks like @SashaGrey to me."

The observation quickly gained traction, with other players echoing the sentiment.

"@SashaGrey is that you?" asked a perplexed @Yamilotus1, while @Sobryus gave a nod to a potential in-joke, tweeting, "Shoutout to whoever at @SHGames is also a @SashaGrey enthusiast."

Many fans continued the investigation, forensically analysing the available pictures of the new skin from various angles.

Sasha Grey responds

In the midst of the online discussion, Sasha Grey herself jumped into the fray. She retweeted several of the tweets, adding her own flair of humour and intrigue to the conversation.

In one notable interaction, Grey humorously called out the official Call of Duty account with a playful "Whaaaa @CallofDuty?"

The resemblance was further amplified when some Twitter users took to editing the Lara Croft skin to resemble Grey more closely.

One such example that gained the attention of Grey and can be seen in a tweet from @infamous066:

While the similarity is striking in the edited images, it remains unlikely that the game developers based the skin on Sasha Grey.

The resemblance, though intriguing, seems coincidental, given that the difference between the skin and the actress allows at the very least for plausible deniability.

In recent years, Grey has taken to content creation, streaming on Twitch and running a regular cooking series on her YouTube channel.
