From the creative team behind Netflix's Love, Death & Robots and including Deadpool's Tim Miller, Amazon Prime is releasing a TV series designed as a "love letter to games."

Secret Level has been announced at Gamescom's Open Night Live, where Miller took to the stage in an emotional reveal.

Secret Level is set to launch in December 2024 and will feature over 15 live adaptations from games, including God of War, Sifu, Armored Core, and more.

Amazon Prime to launch Secret Level series, featuring over 15 game adaptations

Miller dubbed Secret Level as a "love letter to games," while Amazon Prime Video has added that it will be a "revolutionary gaming anthology series" where fans will see some colossal titles on display.

In an almost Wreck-it-Ralph style - albeit much more mature - it appears characters will load into different games every episode or even multiple titles in the same hour.

The Secret Level series has been in development for three years and will feature 15 episodes.

The full list of game adaptations consists of Armored Core, Concord, Crossfire, Dungeons & Dragons, Exodus, Honor of Kings, Mega Man, New World: Aeternum, PAC-MAN, PlayStation (Highlighting various PlayStation Studios beloved entities), Sifu, Spelunky, The Outer Worlds, Unreal Tournament, and Warhammer 40,000

Miller has a number of game adaptations under his belt, most recently the questionable Borderlands film and some more successful hits like Sonic the Hedgehog.

"We f**king love video games," Miller said in his reveal, noting the dozens of trailers his Blur studio has created. Secret Level will premiere on December 10 on Prime Video. Given Blur's work on franchises like Call of Duty, it could be the first season of many more to come.
