While creating the ultimate meta loadout in Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2 that deals the maximum amount of damage is the main goal for players, the appearance of their weapon is also extremely important.

That's exactly why so many CoD fans have spent countless hours over the years grinding out rare camos for their favourite guns. So, when a fresh camo is unveiled via a leak, it never fails to capture the attention of the community - especially considering this latest one is animated.

The extremely colourful animated camo is currently unnamed, but its distinct and flashy design has certainly got players excited.

New colourful animated camo is coming to MW2 & Warzone 2

Taking to Twitter on August 30, popular Call of Duty account ModernWarzone showcased a "new animated camo coming to Call of Duty and Warzone," courtesy of leaker Soupsilly.

The flashy camo combines purple and black with shades of green and blue mixed in, all slowly moving over the surface of the gun.

At this point in time, the animated camo is unnamed, and there is no release date set, so we'll just have to wait until the devs roll it out.

Fans' opinion of the camo has been overwhelmingly positive, labelling the design as "really nice" and incredibly "pretty," so the community are definitely keen to see it in-game soon.

Will new animated camo be earnable in MW2 & Warzone 2?

At the moment, it's hard to know whether this animated camo will be earnable in-game or whether you'll have to purchase CoD points to get hold of it.

The one clue we do have is that Soupsilly revealed it's a "universal" camo, and it's currently in the "events tab," hinting it could be a reward for an upcoming set of challenges.

Either way, we'll just have to wait and see, but it's clear there's a lot of demand for animated camos, so it'll be interesting to see if more are created in the lead-up to Modern Warfare 3.
