Apex Legends is one of those titles that is filled with fan interaction and entertaining lore that pushes players' imagination beyond the screen.

Whether it be fans cosplaying as Wraith, Loba, or Mirage, or the more book-wormy fans enjoying fan fiction based on the comics, there's more to just the pew-pew of a Nemesis to Apex Legends.

So now, one of the coolest (yet dangerous) fan-made creations has come to fruition, as one Apex Legends fanatic has recreated the iconic R301 Carbine gun in real life.

Apex Legends fan makes custom-build R301 in real life

The R301 is Apex Legends' most iconic weapon, with the assault rifle stemming back from Titanfall and becoming the most prolific gun in the game for years. Only recently has it been nerfed and usurped by the Nemesis, although it's still a solid pick-up choice for any player.

YouTuber "Banished_Builds" loves the gun so much that they decided to recreate the weapon in real life, turning it into an actual gun that shoots real bullets and could do some serious harm.

Having bought a "cheap .22 rifle" for $150, the YouTuber used a 3D printer to build the R301's casing, painting it with a green camo and placing it around the rifle to reinvent the Apex Legends gun.

Apex Legends YouTuber makes fully-working R301 gun

Although the gun was single-fire instead of fully automatic, the R301 build actually worked with the .22 rounds equipped, and with a holo sight equipped, the YouTuber showcases themselves firing it off into the woods.

It's not the first time that they have recreated an Apex Legends weapon either, as they previously have made airsoft variants of the Sentinel sniper rifle and RE-45 pistol, alongside Caustic's gas canisters.

Of course, this R301 gun couldn't be taken to an airsoft arena, and will have to be kept under lock and key as a prop, but the design is cool nonetheless.
