Apex Legends fans have demanded a crackdown on "multi-season" cheaters who never seem to get banned despite the blatant use of hacks.

We're on the cusp of Apex Legends Season 21, and everyone in the community is gearing up for another major wave of content to enjoy.

However, no matter how many major additions come with the patch, there are some issues the fanbase are desperate to see fixed, which seem to be falling on deaf ears.

One is the abundance of hackers taking over Ranked and completely ruining the competitive integrity of the mode. It's got so bad that "multi-season" cheaters are now rearing their heads after not being punished for countless months in a row.

Apex Legends fans slam "ridiculous" cheating problem

Taking to the Apex Legends subreddit, user GK3ye decided to vent their frustration about the "ridiculous" state of cheating in the Outlands and claim that it's a problem Respawn is "refusing to fix."

Their biggest problem is that well-known and recognised hackers are going under the radar, leading to "multi-season" cheaters who have no fear of being punished for using third-party software. This "brutal" cycle of climbing to high tiers in Ranked, just to be smashed by bad actors, is pushing fans away from the competitive mode.

GK3ye is certainly not alone in their observations, with multiple users in the thread making it clear that usually, they would only "see a cheater 1 every 15 games, now I see 2 cheaters out of 5 games... So f**king annoying."

"Ok I'm glad its not just me, I tried playing ranked last night and it was brutal...Reported a lot of people," said one user, with another claiming, "Best part is that feels like reports actually do nothing."

Apex Legends players also claim "6-man teams are out of control

If the cheaters weren't a big enough issue on their own, another form of rule-breaking is also going on in Ranked. This comes in the form of "6-man teams" who get into the same match as another squad they know and then proceed to work together as a unit to guarantee the win.

This teaming strategy is extremely difficult for Respawn to combat as there's no third-party software involved. As a result, it's impossible for their detection system to recognise the issue and hand out punishments.

"The 6 man teams are also out of control, once you hit diamond and higher at least on console, every other game there is a team with at least one pred teaming."

So, while eye-catching additions will always be the priority in Season 21, the fanbase is hoping some attention will be given to the hacking problem, which seems to be heading in the wrong direction.
