The addition of Ballistic is already proving to be quite divisive in Apex Legends, as the new character to enter the legend pool seems equally as exciting as he is scary. The silver fox could be a real threat, as he was originally leaked by EA before being revealed a day later.

Given that we haven't seen many characters make an impact in the meta since Seer arrived (possibly Catalyst too, but not Maggie and Newcastle), Ballistic is gathering quite a lot of hype. Now, fans are piecing together why he appears to be so familiar.

Despite looking quite akin to Kubin Blisk - the infamous Titanfall character and a heavy protagonist within Apex Legends lore - Ballistic is a new legend to the pool.

But, gaming fanatics have found that there are actually some stark similarities between Ballistic and another gaming character. You might've spotted how Team Fortress 2's Medic boasts similar outfits, apparel, and poses.

The doctor's lab coat and gloves show off quite similar looks, as do the round spectacles and tucked-in trousers and boot combination. If that wasn't enough to convince you that these two are somewhat linked, they also share the same voice actor.

Despite Ballistic being made by EA and Medic coming from a Valve franchise, fans also found that both characters are voiced by Robin Atkin Downes.

This was confirmed by Apex Legends writer Sam Gill on Twitter, who admitted the "exceptionally stylish" character and Medic share the same voice.

Of course, this doesn't mean that the two franchises overlap, and there will be no Demoman and Spy joining the games anytime soon, but it does add a nice bit of nuance to the upcoming Apex Legends badass.
