Even though Season 20 hasn't been out for very long, it's already receiving a huge amount of praise from the Apex Legends community. Whether it's the armour changes, crafting overhaul, or Legend Upgrades, fans are really enjoying Breakout's gameplay.

Despite this, nothing is getting more attention than the new Straight Shot LTM that's designed to streamline the Battle Royale formula. Players are now calling on Respawn to make the LTM permanent, and for some, it's already become their new default mode.

Apex Legends players celebrate "banging" Straight Shot LTM

Taking to the Apex Legends subreddit, user Kona_Conch put forward that the "Straight Shot LTM needs to become a permanent mode" as they're having a "blast" with it, and it's effectively become their "new pubs mode."

They're not the only ones who think this, with countless fans loving the "action-packed" BR gameplay packaged up into a "shorter amount of time."

"So fun, it has everything I want in a game mode, and it's still Apex Legends Battle Royale - being able to queue back in quickly is perfect also," said one user, with another claiming, "My buddy and I tried it last night and loved it."

It's hard to know whether the devs would consider making it a permanent feature, but with enough positive feedback, it's certainly a possibility.

Straight Shot LTM is the perfect Ranked warm-up

Thunderdome Apex Legends

Typically, when you wanted to warm up for a big Ranked session, pubs or the Firing Range were your only options. Now, competitors are using Straight Shot as it provides you with kitted weapons instantly, and the fast-paced matches mean you can get in a bunch of games quickly before the grind.

"I like this mode to warm up for ranked, it's much better than sitting in the Firing Range for 20 minutes and shooting at dummies." So, if you need to ensure your accuracy is on point before you play Ranked, Straight Shot may be the new place to go.
