There have been countless changes to Apex Legends in Season 22, and once Maggie's ball has started rolling, there's no stopping it.

But the attention isn't on the overhaul to the loot bin system, which pours out loot like a grandma on Christmas Eve, or the mythic crates that continue to make games winnable from hail mary positions.

Instead, players are applauding one tiny QoL feature coming in the mid-season update that they have been begging for.

Apex Legends finally adds a QoL update that is six-years in the waiting

Season 22's mid-season update will see two quality-of-life updates come to the game, alongside balances for the new features like loot bin resets.

The first is for Valkyrie, whose entire kit was buffed as she transitions from a skirmisher to a recon legend. Finally, her Ultimate can now be cancelled, as meleeing will cool down the rockets on her back.

The second is the biggie, though. Six years after release, players can finally manage their inventory while healing or using a zipline. Previously, using either med kits, batts, phoenix kits, or a zipline would lock you out of your inventory. You can now (finally) drop unwanted items or switch around weapon attachments while using these items.

"Hail the lord! This is such a good update," said one fan, while another added, "Finally…….!!!!! It only took them 5 year for such a small big QoL." A third player commented on new movement techs that might be available through this and through Ultimate Accelerants.

There is still another step to this that hasn't quite made the cut, though, as players are getting greedy and asking for the ability to heal on the ziplines. Baby steps, guys.
