Apex Legends is about to have a big month. A brand-new season is around the corner, and coming with it will be a new character. If you haven't heard, it's Mad Maggie, the sarcastic and snide voice you may recognise from when Fuse was first introduced.
Though the game is long overdue another support Legend, it's expected that Maggie won't be. Fans are still excited regardless, and are curious to see what the new season will bring.
But, as a nice touch to bring some players up to speed with all of the Legends already in the game, Apex Legends is giving you the chance to unlock some playable characters for free.
Apex Legends Is Letting You Earn Legends For Free
As part of a new scheme to reward Apex Legends players, you'll be able to earn some legends completely free of charge. It's all to celebrate three years of the game.
The event will last for three weeks, and for each of those weeks, you'll have the opportunity to bag a Legend for nothing. The first week will offer you Octane, the second gives Wattson, and the third will let you take to the skies with Valkyrie.
Fans will also be able to unlock some themed and legendary loot packs at the same time, so you can kit your new Legend out with some lovely themed cosmetics too.
How Do You Unlock The Free Legends?
In order to bag the free Legends and loot boxes, all you need to do is sign in on their respective weeks. It's really that simple, meaning you can bolster your ranks with ease.
Octane's week is between February 8 and February 15, Wattson's is between February 15 and February 22, and Valkyrie's is from February 22 to March 1.
It's a great bonus that will let players catch up on some Legends they haven't earned yet - though we're not sure Octane needs much more of a buff in the pool of pick rates. Brace yourselves, Legends, because a sea of Octanes is about to wash up.
