Although Apex Legends has usually kept a decent lid on hackers and cheaters, the internet infiltrators have started seeping through as the devs' attention has been drawn into many different directions - amid a tiring legend pool and some blatantly obvious audio malfunctions.

Now, Apex Legends is currently swimming with hackers, especially in the top-end playlists, and players want action. They're so desperate for action to be taken, fans are calling for Respawn to take a leaf out of Warzone's book...

Apex Legends players want a better anti-cheat

For all of Warzone's faults with the RICOCHET anti-cheat software, it has finally started to pick up pace and make laughing stocks out of the Call of Duty cheaters.

The new technology has been making hackers face invisible opponents, while also stripping their guns away as a gimmick...all before banning them. Apex players want something similar, hoping to combat the outbreak of cheaters there, many of which came over from Warzone's decline.

"How is it that the competition can do a better job at banning, and humiliating cheaters, while Apex just lets them run rampant and ruin it for the rest of us?" said one poster on Reddit.

Apex Legends players call for Warzone anti-cheat trolling

The original poster hoped that the Apex Legends developers could implement something like this. Others have agreed, claiming the troll-like approach wastes hackers' time and serves as a great deterrent.

Some have even made up similar concepts for anti-cheat trolls too. One added, "I've always wondered why they don't add cheat deterrents like this: Walling is super common in Apex, so could something like adding in a bunch of invisible-to-non-hacker models around real players that the wallhacks would pick up on help?"

Apex's first issue would be trying to combat hackers with bans, as it appears many players in the upper echelons of Ranked playlists have been getting away with it for a while, showcasing the lackadaisical approach from Respawn. If Warzone can do better, why can't Apex
