Apex Legends players convinced Nemesis AR has been silently buffed

Apex Legends players are convinced that the Nemesis AR has been secretly buffed in the Harbingers Collection Event, as its bullet spread appears to be more accurate.

Throughout Season 17, the Nemesis AR was completely dominating the long-range meta in Apex Legends with its powerful burst fire.

Despite calls from the community for nerfs, the devs ahead of Season 18 made it clear that they thought the Nemesis was not OP, and instead, just decided to place it in the crafter.

Well, with the arrival of the Harbingers Collection Event, it was clear Respawn had a change of heart as the gun was hit with a small damage nerf and had its ADS recoil increased.

However, after recent testing, players are convinced the devs may have actually unintentionally given the Nemesis a secret buff to its stability and bullet spread.

Apex Legends fans think Nemesis recoil has been secretly buffed

During a recent stream, popular Apex Legends content creator and caster Jack "NiceWigg" Martin was reacting to a before and after video of the Nemesis following its nerfs.

While the damage reduction appears to have been implemented correctly, NiceWigg noticed that the bullet spread of the Nemesis was actually straighter following the nerf. "Bro that looks more accurate, it's literally a straight line... the after looks better, what are we on about."

This will be a concern for some fans whose biggest criticism of the Nemesis was the gun's overwhelming accuracy from long-range. With an even straighter bullet spread, it's going to be even easier to land those all-important shots.

Is the Nemesis still the best long-range AR in Apex Legends?

Nemesis AR

Despite being hit with a damage nerf in Harbingers, the Nemesis remains a premium long-range option in Season 18. The ability to ramp up its rate of fire makes the gun so strong and difficult to outmatch damage-wise from afar.

Paired with a powerful SMG like the R99, CAR, or of course the Prowler, you'll have a setup that can deliver you to countless victories in the Outlands.
