While Respawn Entertainment delivers regular batches of content to Apex Legends players with seasonal updates, there are some long-awaited features that the community are still waiting for.
The most pressing is without a doubt cross-progression, but second to that is of course 120hz for next-gen consoles.
While the next-gen feature was revealed to be coming in a blog post over a year ago, the devs have now gone radio silent on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S upgrade. As a result, players are frustrated and confused why 120hz has been seemingly forgotten.

Apex Legends players angry over no 120hz for next-gen
Taking to the Apex Legends subreddit, user DerKingKessler decided to voice their frustration over the fact it's 'been over one year now and we still don't have 120hz.' Their main problem isn't the fact the feature has not arrived, it mainly comes down to the lack of 'communication' from the devs.
This sparked a discussion in the comments, with one user revealing they 'don't understand how this is not a main priority for these people, it's ridiculous.'
Another made it clear that they believe these long-awaited features are never coming, claiming 'cross-progression, 120hz, better tick rate, keep dreaming.'
For some players, they believe it all comes down to revenue for EA, as '120fps doesn't make money' but 'new 20$ skins certainly do.'
By the looks of it, 120hz will not be added in the upcoming Season 17 update on May 9, so the wait for the next-gen feature is likely to continue for a long time yet.
Either way, the community is growing more and more frustrated with the devs, so it'll be interesting to see whether they release an update or statement on the topic.
