Respawn Entertainment loves to tease the Apex Legends community with clues and map changes that provide hints about what new content is on the horizon.

With Season 21 just around the corner, the first phase of teasers has begun, and the devs haven't exactly gone for a subtle approach this time. In the sky of every map, there's now a giant green portal that can be seen from miles away, but what does it mean?

Strange green portal appears on all Apex Legends maps

As showcased by KralRindo on X, the skybox in Apex looks a little different, as a huge green portal has appeared out of nowhere.

Inside this portal is the Olympus map, suggesting it's potentially been brought over from another dimension or point in time. As this green portal can be seen from the current iteration of Olympus in Season 20, it's definitely not our version of the map.

For now, the teaser doesn't change or alter during the match, as confirmed by eagle-eyed players who have been tracking it. However, more teasers are expected as we approach the end of April, so keep your eyes peeled.

What does this green portal mean for Apex Legends Season 21?

For now, it's almost impossible to guess what this exactly means, but on a very basic level, we can guess that Olympus map changes are coming in Season 21.

A new version of the location appearing in the sky perhaps suggests that this form of Olympus will replace the one we know now.

Despite this, the Olympus that's emerged from the portal is too far away for us to grasp any details, so hopefully, we'll be given a closer look soon. It's worth noting that this is all speculation at the moment, but Respawn will likely ramp up the teasers very soon.
