Warzone has been blessed with an Advanced Warfare-like LTM for April Fool's Day, and it is fantastic.

April Fool's Day. The tainted jester's holiday is only a shadow of what it used to be, where good-spirited pranks and whoopie cushions have been traded out for blatant spouting of fake news.

But Call of Duty hasn't hit you with cheesy ploys such as "Verdansk is back!" or blatant fibs like "We're releasing Black Ops 2 Remastered", but instead it has done what it does best: design.

Just as Sledgehammer Games plans to add adapted Advanced Warfare guns to this modern-day title, the developers have dug into their archives and brought the future to Warzone.

Warzone's April Fool's Day LTM is basically Advanced Warfare

To celebrate the godforsaken holiday, Call of Duty has deployed a Warzone LTM named "Totally Advanced Resurgence", which will stay active throughout the day and offer a nice change of pace to the usual game as we head towards Season 3.

The LTM will see players have the ability to perform jet-pack-like leaps across Vondel, have loadouts available from the drop (and respawns will keep your guns), specialist bonuses activated, super speed for everyone (including downed players), and a slide/dolphin dive which instantly kills enemies.

The enhanced movement is reminiscent of Sledgehammer's AW title, which had players soaring through the air, and was an outrageously fun instalment in the series - so much so that players have been calling for its return.

Warzone fans are loving the April Fool's Day playlist

The mode has become an instant hit with Warzone fans as players have been diving head-first into enemies to get those instant-downs, and the super speed crawling has seen the chase for eliminations become hilarious.

It is not yet sure whether this Advanced Warfare-esque mode will be leaving us at the end of the day, or whether it will continue for a while as we unlock the MORS sniper and really relive those golden days.
