MMO aficionado Zack "Asmongold" sparked a dispute among his viewers after stating that Elden Ring isn't "easier" when compared to FromSoftware's other Souls-like games.
Creator Asmongold may have developed his streaming career with his World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XIV playthroughs but, in recent times, he has been dominating Twitch with his Lost Ark and Elden Ring-related content. Having initially been a fan of the two fantasy games, he's slowly starting to find more things to hate about them. At one point, it even looked like he'd hung up his Reduvia and quit Elden Ring.
Asmongold has since returned to the Lands Between and has openly shared his review of the RPG with fans. However, he hasn't always agreed with them, as seen in one of his recent videos in which he disagreed with fellow Elden Ring players who were saying it is the "easiest" FromSoftware game.

Why Doesn't Asmongold Believe Elden Ring Is FromSoftware's 'Easiest' Game?
On March 20, Asmongold uploaded his reaction to Kelly "The Act Man" Van Achte's YouTube video 'Why Is Elden Ring So Successful?!' and agreed with his fellow YouTuber that Elden Ring is FromSoftware's "magnum opus." And it wasn't long before the topic turned to the game developer's other Souls-like games, including Bloodborne and the three games that make up the Dark Souls franchise. He then sparked a debate among fans when he stated that Demon's Souls was "really good", but the problem is that it's "an old game" and "it's not that hard."
Some of Asmongold's viewers then started to argue that they actually think Elden Ring is the "easiest" FromSoftware title. The Twitch streamer, who has completed all of FromSoftware's Souls-like games, responded: "I actually don't think Elden Ring is FromSoftware's easiest game." He continued by admitting he hasn't faced the game's hardest bosses yet. However, he believes that the players who are saying it's easy are FromSoftware "veterans."
Asmongold admitted that they are some elements of Elden Ring which make the game easier for experienced Souls-like players, particularly the fact that Elden Ring has the "most tools." Although, he argued that these tools might not make things so easy for your average player. He also dismissed the idea that Sprit Ashes make the game easier saying "having spirits is not that big of a deal."
What Does Asmongold Think Is The Hardest FromSoftware Game?
Asmongold certainly is experienced when it comes to Souls-like games. So, he wasn't afraid to share his opinion of what he considers to be the hardest title in the Dark Souls franchise. Even though Souls games are generally considered especially hard, Asmongold argued: "The first hard Dark Souls game was Dark Souls 3. Dark Souls 1 and Dark Souls 2 are easy games. They are a joke. Dark Souls 3 was the only one that was hard."
Although he's a renowned Souls-like player, Asmongold has shown he considers all players, both old and new, when reviewing a game. A fact that is especially heart-warming given how half of us Elden Ring players can't even make it past the first boss.
