Larian Studios has officially announced that a Deluxe Edition of the popular Baldur's Gate 3 will be coming in early 2024, with pre-orders already open.

Fans of Baldur’s Gate 3 have been waiting for a physical edition of the game to release for months, and it seems like their pleas have finally been answered.
Larian Studios has officially announced that a Deluxe Edition of the popular RPG will be coming in early 2024, with pre-orders already open.
Larian Studios has announced a Deluxe Edition of Baldur’s Gate 3
A Deluxe Edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 is on its way including a physical copy of the game and plenty of additional items.
The edition is set to ship in Q1 of 2024 for both consoles and PC, with the long-awaited Xbox digital version of the game being announced at The Game Awards on 7 December.
“This experiment is what we feel the future of physical media looks like, at least for us at Larian,” Michael Douse, Director of Publishing said. “We spent the last few months learning how to do it from scratch, and put everything we learned from the Collector’s Edition into what we hope is unbeatable value for what we’re considering our standard physical version going forward. If it works out, we’ll keep doing it this way.
“We understand the value of physical media, and while there are clearly increasingly significant challenges when it comes to the archiving of games, we truly believe it’s worth experimenting, even if it means a fuck ton of discs.”
The Deluxe Edition will span several discs
Due to the game’s massive scope, there will be several discs included for both console editions.
Both PS5 and Xbox versions will be playable-on-disc, with the PS5 edition of the game coming with 2 discs and the Xbox version coming with 3.
The PC version of the Deluxe Edition will come with a DVD which hosts a custom installer as well as a Steam Key.
As well as this, the Deluxe Edition will include the original soundtrack on three CDs, a cloth world map, two fabric patches, 32 stickers, an art poster and all digital deluxe content.
The Deluxe Edition will be exclusively sold on Larian’s dedicated store for £79.99. It is not a collector’s edition so anyone who misses out on the original release doesn’t need to panic.
