Bethesda, despite being relatively quiet, has been very busy indeed. Publishing Ghostwire: Tokyo has given the game a hell of a bump, and with the game looking just as spooky and intriguing as it does action-packed, it looks like the company could be in for a treat come release day.

Plus, as Bethesda plugs away at Starfield, it could yet have some big surprises by the end of the year. But, that might not be everything that we see from the company this year - as Bethesda is still working on a game that, right now, we know next to nothing about.

Bethesda's Spyteam Gets A New Trademark

Bethesda has been working on a multiplayer game, recognised as Spyteam, for some time now. The game was revealed back in 2018 by the filing of a trademark by Bethesda parent company, Zenimax. It came after Bethesda's Austin studio opened, and since Fallout 76 came and went, job listings have hinted that work on the game is still going strong.

The original trademark has been extended yearly since 2018, but it has been discovered that an all-new trademark has been listed for Spyteam. It implies that new progress has been made on the title, or at the very least, that the game isn't dead just yet.

The discovery was made by YouTuber Skullzi, who shared proof of the brand new trademark filing back in January of this year. Bethesda has a lot on its plate right now, however, away from StarfieldThe Elder Scrolls 6, and a hopeful Fallout 5, there's plenty to look forward to.

What Could Spyteam Be?

Bethesda Continues Work On Mystery Multiplayer Game

There's no telling what could be coming in Spyteam, but it's safe to say that its name is a fair indication that we're looking at something flashy and covert here. Rumours have suggested we could be getting something similar to SpyParty, the game that sees one player take on the role of a spy at a party, and another as a sniper trying to weed them out.

It's thought that this could take SpyParty's concept and run wild with it - but the truth is, we simply won't know what the Spyteam entails until it's revealed. Still, bow ties and silenced pistols are probably a given. Spyteam is intriguing and could be an exciting new turn for Bethesda. All it has to be is anything but a Bond ripoff, and we'll be there on day one.
