Starfield is finally starting to feel like it's actually coming out, and while there's still a wait ahead of us, we can't wait to hop in our own spaceship and explore the galaxy in what Bethesda are calling its biggest game yet.

The sell is pretty easy, to be honest - Skyrim in space is a concept that most players can get on board with, but as Bethesda shows us that it could be even more than that, fans are losing their minds with impatience.

But one fan has found a way to push back their impatience - and Bethesda seems to approve.

Fan creates unofficial Starfield ship-builder

One fan has clearly gotten sick of waiting to build their ship and has elected to make it before the game even has a chance to launch.

One fan posting to Reddit has revealed their stunning plans for their in-game ship when Starfield actually launches, developed in Blender with fantastic attention to detail.

The screenshots of the ship itself are truly masterful, and they seem to reflect the shipbuilder in the game very nicely. It's a project that would no doubt gel nicely with the actual game itself, as many commenters attest. "This looks sick. Awesome work," says one. "I hope we see mods with this level of quality in the future."

It doesn't end here, though, as it looks like Bethesda itself is a pretty big fan of the build too.

Bethesda gives fan-made ship their seal of approval

It's not just Redditors loving the ship build, as even the creators of Starfield are chiming in with their love of the ship.

"Its_all_pixels couldn't wait to get into #Starfield's shipbuilder and already started building a Starfield-inspired ship in Blender!" says the game's official Twitter page, sharing the images.

It's sweet that Bethesda is backing fan-made creations - as after all, Skyrim and Fallout wouldn't be the same without its modding community. When it comes to the ship, though, we'll take 5.
