Black Ops 6 Beta adds Treyarch’s answer to Shipment with Babylon

Black Ops 6's questionable mix of maps is raising even more eyebrows as the Beta will add Treyarch's answer to Shipment in Week Two.

Black Ops 6 Shipment

Call of Duty players are quite accustomed to the tiny and minute maps in recent years, especially during Modern Warfare 3 when the developers really 'Sledgehammer-ed' the Small Map Moshpit playlist down our throats.

Most of the community has enjoyed this change of pace for MW3, with the likes of Rust, Meat, Stash House, Emergency, and Das Haus being popularised for offering helter-skelter Call of Duty action.

But, Treyarch's map pool is usually much wider and more efficient. This is why there has been a lot of scepticism around Week Two of the Beta, as Black Ops' answer to Shipment is on the way.

Black Ops 6's smallest map yet lands in Beta Week Two

Babylon Bo6

Babylon is Black Ops 6's smallest map and has already been showcased by streamers during the CoD: NEXT weekend. As it arrives in the Black Ops 6 Beta, Week Two, players have now analysed its layout and been left stunned.

The map is essentially a square with one smaller square in the middle. You can find cover around the outskirts, but for the most part, you're target practice in the centre. The layout has instantly been compared to a familiar Modern Warfare map.

"Just to clarify - Babylon is the smallest map by far. It's like Treyarch's version of Shipment," said CharlieIntel on Twitter.

The squared-off map does have shades of Shipment, given you can draw a plus sign through the middle routes, and the only cover comes from barrels and head-glitches around the sides.

Black Ops 6 players sceptic over Shipment rival

Already, the Black Ops 6 Beta map pool has been heavily criticised as "dogwater," and the inclusion of a Shipment-esque map has only heightened this fear.

Taking to X, Call of Duty legend Chris "Parasite" Duarte said, "Look at that layout for Babylon... I'm begging we have normal maps BEGGING." Another joked, "Did they only make TikTok-sized maps omg?"

Players have profoundly expressed the desire to have more competitive maps, although Babylon might actually become a fan-favourite when that weapon XP grind kicks off.
