Uh-Rah! Zombies is back baby. Black Ops 6 is kicking things off with two round-based maps from launch, but it won't be long until even more outbreaks erupt and take over our screens.
Terminus Island is in duo with Liberty Falls as the opening maps in Black Ops 6, with the former being the largest map yet. Terminus boasts stormy Vietnamese seas that are surfable around the prison, while the latter is a smaller, yet open, ‘90s American village.
Treyarch has now revealed that a third map is quickly following, and will be with us in time for some toasting in front of the Christmas tree.
A third Zombies map is already on the way in Black Ops 6
Who would have thought that undead flesh-eating spiders would come hand in hand with gingerbread, hot chocolate, and a Home Alone marathon. Here we are as Treyarch devs have confirmed that a third map is being released in Zombies this year.
Speaking briefly on the desk during the CoD NEXT showcase, Associate Director of Design Kevin Drew said, "So what I can say is the next map is coming by the end of this year."
"And that is going to be really setting the tone for how all-in we are on round-based Zombies we are.”
Steve Bianchi, Black Ops 6 Lead Game Designer added, "I think we're all really stoked about all of the maps we're going to come out with. Everything helps to tell the story and pair with the story that we're trying to tell. We're all excited."
The details of this third map remain sparse, as we've only seen Liberty Falls and Terminus action so far.
Still, if Treyarch is already cooking a third map in Zombies, we could end up with five or six round-based areas by the end of Black Ops 6.
It'll be us feasting this year, not the undead corpses of brain-hungry munchers.
