A deluge of Call of Duty leaks has given us a closer look at some Black Ops 6 gameplay, and while critics aren't impressed with the graphics, there's a reason for it.

The long-running Call of Duty series is hopefully coming back with a bang in 2024, and after the middling reviews of Modern Warfare 3 making it the worst-rated in the franchise's history, there's good news that Treyarch is back in the driving seat.

Known as the granddaddy of Zombies, Treyarch also delivered the beloved Black Ops Cold War in 2020 - largely dubbed the best in the series' modern era. We know an all-star Call of Duty NEXT event is coming on August 28, but in typical style, it seems some big Black Ops 6 reveals have been spoiled ahead of time.

Black Ops 6 gameplay leaks are everywhere

The CoDverse just can't catch a break, and while Treyarch is doing all its usual viral marketing, a Black Ops 6 dev build has made it out into the wild. The Black Ops 6 subreddit is currently chocked full of leaks, and as Activision scrambles to use the might of Microsoft to pull them down, they're multiplying like a horde of zombies.

X account @ModernWarzone showed off a minute-long clip from a multiplayer map called Derelict. Although that source has been taken down, several others are doing the rounds. Notably, players called out the 'sluggish' speed and subpar graphics, although there's a major reason behind it.

One disgruntled gamer wrote, "Looks like mw3 and cw f**ked raw and this is the baby that came out," while another grumbled, "This game looks like dogsh*t. Even Vanguard looked better than this." A third concluded, "I'll wait for the $40 sale. 😂."

As pointed out by CharlieIntel, it seems this dev build is from a PS4, making it the last-gen version of Black Ops 6. We recently covered how Activision would be mad to lock out so many players who aren't yet on new-gen consoles, still, it looks like there will be some noticeable differences between generations.

If you know where to look, you can get a closer look at Black Ops 6's weapons, UI, and even multiplayer maps. While we have to wait until the end of the month to get an official look at Black Ops 6, that gives us plenty of time to go over every pixel of these leaks.
