Bo6 Nuketown

Over the years, Treyarch's Nuketown variants have banged in Call of Duty. Five different reskins of the map have been made, and with each one, the map's shine has never faded.

This year, the Nuketown lore is getting very confusing, though. The new Warzone map explained that this isn't just one fictional location in Nevada but a production line of multiple towns. If you're keeping up, the variations we've seen haven't been evolutions of what we had prior but factory-made presets placed in the same layout.

And yet this year's Nuketown appears to be the 'worst' yet, as Black Ops 6 fans have been left stunned by the desecrated Warhead variant.

Black Ops 6's Nuketown slammed by fans

Warhead, previously dubbed as Sandhouse before the Beta, is the Black Ops 6 variant of Nuketown. That's not to say that a real remaster isn't on the way post-launch, but for now, this is your day one Nuketown.

However, the minimap layout for Warhead has been revealed, and fans have dubbed it "the worst f**king layout I've ever seen."

Unlike the true Nuketown, the map doesn't have two gardens, while there's just one house to spawn in and another sandy area on the opposite side. The middle cover is also one-laned, with the two vehicles being head-on, rather than having the parallel bus and van to dice between.

"This might be the worst map I’ve ever seen," a second fan said. It comes after players have already voiced their concerns at the state of the small maps, and this 6v6 "core" landscape appears much smaller than your usual Nuketown, which was already pint-sized. The fun doesn't stop there, as even more tiny maps are coming to Black Ops 6.

More tiny maps announced for Black Ops 6, and fans are losing it

Revealed in the recent patch notes blog post, two more tiny maps will be joining Warhead, Babylon, Derelict, Pit, Gala, and Stakeout - yes, that's a total of eight "small" or "Strike" maps as dubbed by the developers.

The latest to arrive will be Payback and Subsonic, with the latter is driving players mad. Subsonic appears to be one small square with an outer ring - very Shipment-and-Babylon-esque - and is described as a 6v6 core map rather than Strike. Still, appears to be the smallest of the lot.

"Actual joke," said popular leaker and content creator "TheGhostOfHope" after sharing the minimap on Twitter. "Core 6v6 maps should never be this small. This is a Strike map advertised as a core 6v6 map lol."

Another added, "This is the consequence of the past few years of small maps brain rot. People who refused to play anything other than Shipment and Nuketown 24/7 have had their brains rotted. They can't handle any map larger than Terminal because they think it's too big and slow."

It's now unavoidable to play these types of maps, as even the Black Ops 6 boycotters will be forced to play six variants of Shipment if they stay on MW3. We guess it's time to adapt. *Sighs into a slide cancel*.
