What do you get when you cross Call of Duty with May Payne? If you said Black Ops 6, then you'd be correct, with Treyarch's challenger CoD set to mix things up in the best way possible. Omnimovement is billed as the next big thing, but with that, it looks like we'll have to 'git gud' all over again.

With movement grinding to something of a sluggish pace in recent CoDs, Treyarch is once again looking to differentiate the shooter from Apex Legends, Fortnite, VALORANT, and all the other shooters out there. Even though omnimovement looks like it'll make for a more fast-paced title, that might not always be a good thing.

CoD: NEXT promises to shed light about what's coming to this new era of the CoDverse, but with fresh leaks of omnimovement in action, players are already worried it's going to crank the game's difficulty to 11. Those who've been asking for a bigger skill gap look like they're in luck because omnimovement clearly isn't holding back.

More omnimovement clips have appeared online, showing just how high-octane it'll be in Black Ops 6. As with all things CoD, one player's dream feature is another's nightmare. Already quaking with fear about what omnimovement will do to casuals, one worried player wrote, "Damn!! They need to nerf this ASAP!!!

Someone else joked, "Y’all are so f**ked… ima stick to the campaign this year 😂😂😂😂," and a third added, "Looks Like all 9-5 people will leave after 3 rounds… Gaming is not for fun anymore… its a sweatfest in every aspect…." If you're not a mouse and keyboard player, you might want to learn because it looks like MnK is going to reign supreme here.

Omnimovement is already proving divisive, and with a recent multiplayer trailer showing how you can dive out of the water and pepper enemies with bullets, sceptics are already questioning its realism. Even though Black Ops 6 is supposed to give us a more realistic CoD, we wouldn't recommend you launch yourselves down a flight of stairs backwards while holding a shotgun.
