When Black Ops Cold War launched, its Zombies mode rallied behind one of its most famed classic maps.

Die Maschine, based on World at War's Nacht der Untoten map, proved to be a massive hit, diving deeper into the lore and adding to an already-proven recipe for success.

So, has Black Ops 6 just teased the exact same concept with another of the series' old timeless Zombies maps?

Black Ops 6 might have just teased Five remastered

Treyarch has already been quite open about going all-in on Zombies for Black Ops 6, even recently making some rather bold claims about the storyline that has been unearthed.

The developers have been continuing their marketing campaign for Black Ops 6 this week, which is likely to conclude on May 28 with the worldwide reveal and some massive Game Pass news.

But one trailer, sent to Zombies guru Noah "NoahJ456" Johnson has shown fans a first glimpse at footage of Black Ops 6 and its fight against the undead, with Saddam Hussein featuring as the Campaign appears to be tackling the Gulf War in Iraq.

However, the trailer also features a lot of footage from US leaders, and a Zombies map can be seen for a brief second.

The Pentagon, the building in which the Black Ops 1 Zombies map Five was based in, can be briefly seen among a bunch of other Easter eggs.

Given that we're taking the "Frank & Woods" TV programme as confirmation that Black Ops' Frank Woods will return for a sixth consecutive game, it could be that Five will also be coming back, or at least an expanded version of it.

Despite calls for Zombies Chronicles 2, Five could serve the same purpose that Nacht Der Untoten did for Die Maschine, where the surrounding areas are expanded and players can continue fighting the undead on both new and familiar territory.

Could this also mean that Saddam Hussein could become a playable character in Black Ops 6? Fidel Castro was in the original Five, so maybe Hussein could be rallying in defence of the Pentagon and the living alongside Gulf War world leaders like Presidents Bill Clinton or George W. Bush, both of whom feature in the trailer.

Five will always be one of the best Zombies maps ever made, but lets hope if it does return that the pesky Doctor won't be stealing all of our weaponry.
