Wonder weapons are the bread-and-butter of every good Zombies match, ever since the Ray Gun was added way back when.

Since the Ray Gun, we've enjoyed the Thunder Gun, Wunderwaffe, Blundergat, Sliquifier, Staff of Fire, and more.

Now, Black Ops 6's first Wonder Weapon has been revealed, and it appears to be quite a smashing Mystery Box purchase.

BeamSmasher revealed as Black Ops 6 Wonder Weapon

Dubbed an "experimental powerhouse" by Treyarch, the Beamsmasher has been revealed to be the first Wonder Weapon in Black Ops 6 and will be available on the map Terminus.

The weapon comes with three different ammo types to help you bring down a range of different enemies, rather than being a one-trick pony akin to the Ray Gun.

Your first port of call with the Beamsmasher is its namesake beam. This is one of the most damaging Wonder Weapons we've had yet, completely vaporizing anything in its line of sight. Players who tested the game early claimed that this weapon eases through the first 20 rounds before it starts taking a little bit longer to turn more powerful enemies to dust.

Then, if things are a bit hairier and you need more up-close action, you can use the sonic soundwave function which blasts molecules of vibration forward and literally blows the brains off anything in its close vicinity. The soundwave ability also slows targets and weakens them against teammate fire.

Its third damage type appears to be a built-in Electric Cherry-type mechanic, where reloading will send a wave of damage around you and knock back zombies.

The Ray Gun will also be in the game, making your squad's arsenal quite packed, and you can even control the giant Mangler kit to deal even more damage. These Zombies won't know what hit them.
