Despite being over 15 years old, Call of Duty's beloved Zombies mode has always been unforgiving in nature. Well, at least in terms of forcing you to play on until you grow too tired to continue.

It's a mood that's too familiar to Zombies players, who have often perished to the brutal test of time instead of those bloodthirsty corpses. Now, though, you don't have to fear about how long a crawler will last as you take a quick screen break or chores beckon.

For the first time ever, Black Ops 6's Zombies will let you keep your personal record run active and still walk away from your console. All thanks to a Save and Quit feature...finally.

Black Ops 6 finally adds a Save button to Zombies

For the first time in Zombies history, you'll be given the chance to "Save and Quit" from a game, which lets you rejoin the match at another time.

Given how the GobbleGums will work, the feature will likely save all of your progress in one match but will limit you to just one match at a time.

The Save feature will also only apply to solo matches rather than online lobbies (including private matches), meaning you will have to finish your individual run before jumping into a game with friends. Still, you can exfil from a match if you need to end your save.

Black Ops 6 Zombies Save button hailed by fans

The news has immediately been hailed by fans, who are dubbing it as the best QOL feature ever added to the series. "Went from leaving the game paused on round 70 to go to school and praying the game doesn’t turn off to just being able to resume whenever tf you want?" one fan reminisced.

"So, Treyarch just gave us possibly the biggest zombies QOL feature ever," added popular leader "VondyIsPog". The feature will likely save many people from sleepless nights, especially if the maps allow for deep and endless runs. The record-breakers will love it.
