Gearbox Software is back with a bang and busting open some vaults, as Borderlands 4 has been officially confirmed at Gamescom 2024's Opening Night Live. After the disappointment of Eli Roth's Borderlands movie, there are high hopes that Borderlands 4 will remind us what made the looter shooter so great.
Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford had already teased Borderlands 4 in the aftermath of the movie's box office blunder, but hoping to make things up to us, we got an atmospheric first look at the next game at ONL.
Borderlands 4 confirmed at Gamescom
Although brief, the first Borderlands 4 trailer confirmed the next game is on the way in 2025.Â
