The Brawlhalla phenomenon is set to find a whole new fanbase as the popular 2D fighting game is moving to mobile. Following its beta launch in 2015 and general release in 2017, Brawlhalla is now available on Android and iOS.

You can play Brawlhalla on mobile devices

Developed by Blue Mammoth Games and released by Ubisoft, Brawhalla is an addictive free-to-play fighter where you try to knock rivals off a stage.

Due to its 50 playable "Legends" and crossover with other gaming franchise, it's no surprise that Brawlhalla is often compared to the Smash Bros. franchise.

The game is free on Android and iOS, but better yet, it will come with crossplay between consoles and PC. Alongside a mobile launch trailer, Blue Mammoth is also giving players a free skin if they login within the next two weeks.

Apart from being smaller in size, Brawlhalla mobile is much the same as its bigger brothers. All 50 Legends will be playable, there are 10 unique modes, and up to eight players can duke it out at once.

Although Brawlhalla mobile lets you customise controls on your screen, it works much better with a controller. With so many unique moves that require precise timing, it's a lot trickier to play while tapping away on your screen.

Brawlhalla has crossed over with everything from Shovel Knight to Hellboy, Tomb Raider to Adventure Time, meaning there's plenty of fun to be had. There's also an optional Battle Pass (currently in Season 1) and a growing market for esports.

Even this month, there's the Brawlhalla SteelSeries Championship - running in multiple countries from August 15 to August 23. In September, there's also the Autumn Championship. There's the annual World Championship, with last year's prize of $1000,000 luring in the very best Brawlhalla players.

Whether you're new to the game or an avid player who's been with it from the start, there's something for everyone. With an estimated 40 million players, Brawlhalla is arguably more popular than ever and is sure to continue climbing with its new mobile release.
