To all of those who celebrate, and you really should because it's the best holiday of the year, happy Rebirth Island Day.

The day that Rebirth Island lives up to its name and is reborn from the ashes is finally upon us, as Warzone's most popular Resurgence map ever has made its official return.

And to celebrate, Call of Duty is shouting it from the rooftops to let every single soldier, prisoner, and shark-infested-water inhabitants know.

Call of Duty uses plane to advertise #RebirthDay over Alcatraz

Its been a long time coming, but Rebirth Island - Call of Duty's Alcatraz Prison clone - has been re-added to the game and will play host to the second season of Warzone Ranked, where the real demons will come out to play.

With this in mind, Call of Duty has now taken a rather bizarre method to its advertising, as they have flown a plane over the island of Alcatraz and let out smoke, writing #RebirthDay in the sky.

Locals in San Francisco have already shared images of this on social media, alongside the official CoD account.

Rumour had it that it was Soap who was flying the plane, although Nikolai would be just as likely.

Call of Duty fans already have a #RebirthDay party planned

To kick things off in Rebirth Island, players are not diving into the action in the same way as they normally would - all guns blazing - but instead are planning on laying down the weapons and having a get-together in grannies house.

Popular account ModernWarzone is gathering players inside the infamous Grandmas house (a call out for every monumental gaff in CoD history) for a party, where there will be plenty of teabags, slide cancels, and a cermonial firing of the deagles.

Rebirth Island is already live for those who want to get their sweat on straight away, or you can pop over to Grannies for a glass of juggernog.
