Call of Duty: Warzone's hacking problem has become synonymous with the game itself, and players are concerned that it isn't going to be able to distance itself from its hacking-haven reputation before we move over to its sequel this year.
The problem has been barely quelled by the much-hyped RICOCHET kernel anti-cheat system. As the game's presumed player dropoff is in sight, there are a lot of fans who are worried it's going to fizzle out, rather than go with a bang and with enough love for it to be considered a pleasant experience in retrospect. And now, it looks like that problem that has defined it is about to get even worse.
How Can You Get Free Warzone Cheats?
Sigh. Here we go again. Cheating in Warzone is taking a serious uptick, as some Call of Duty hack providers are looking to dish them out for free. Players have been reporting enhanced numbers of cheaters in their games on the CODWarzone subreddit, claiming that aimbotters are turning out massively.
In response to these claims, players have heard through the grapevine that some providers of cheats have been dishing them out for free. The idea is that it's a promotion to gain some more attention. "Engineowning Hack company is giving out a free wallhack this weekend for the fourth," says one comment. And seemingly, that's not all.
Rumours in the community seem to indicate that a new cheat provider has found a way to completely duck the RICOCHET kernel anti-cheat system, meaning that they can practically get away with anything and offer their services for a fee.
Are Warzone And RICOCHET Doomed?
This could end up contributing seriously to an uptick in cheaters, but given that cheaters are rampant now as it is, it's starting to feel like it's not going to make a difference. Of course, Raven Software has pretty much given up on things right now. The only hope is that Infinity Ward's Warzone 2 will burn the battle royale favourite to the ground and start from scratch.
It was thought that cheating probably couldn't get any worse, but here we are. The idea that cheats are being offered for free shows how desperate hackers are getting, and it's a close race on whether Raven is more desperate. Staring into the sunset of Warzone as Caldera descends into chaos, it's a bit bleak, to be honest.
