A recent datamine has unveiled exciting content for Call of Duty enthusiasts: a fresh Tracer Pack named "Ruff Day." This pack allegedly showcases an Alex Keller skin and introduces a K9 unit companion called SYD.
The revelation, shared by the "Task Force Leakers Network" Twitter account, has caused a surge of anticipation within the gaming community. However, some fans were duped, hoping for another beloved dog of the Call of Duty series.
Sorry, it's not Riley
The emergence of the alleged datamined Tracer Pack: Ruff Day's promo image and its Tactical Pet sent ripples of speculation throughout the Call of Duty fan base.
With the K9 unit appearing somewhat similar, many hoped that this was the grand return of Riley, the renowned German Shepherd from Call of Duty: Ghosts. Unfortunately, the leakers were quick to clarify that this new companion is SYD, not the nostalgic Riley.
For those unfamiliar, Riley holds a special place in the series due to his significant role in Call of Duty: Ghosts. As a member of the Ghosts squadron, he supports the player in various ways, from detecting explosives to engaging hostiles.
He even has sequences where players can control him, showcasing his prowess like taking down helicopters when they fly too close to the ground. He is notable for his survival instincts, having endured a gunshot to his thigh, and was last seen during a crucial mission in the game.
Deployment Imminent
The excitement surrounding the "Ruff Day" pack is not just limited to SYD's introduction.
As per insights from the Twitter account CodWarfareForum, the Tracer Pack: Ruff Day is slated for a release today, September 1st, 2023.
But that could not be all on the horizon for Call of Duty aficionados. Other forthcoming releases to look forward to according to the leakers could include Hip Hop Hutch on September 3rd, TRACER PACK: Hippin and Hopping on September 5th, MWII Pro Pack 8: Cosmic Traveler on September 7th, TRACER PACK: Tomb Raider Operator Bundle on September 9th, and the Battle Buddy: NPC Pack on September 12th.
However, players should approach this information with caution. Given the absence of an official public announcement about these launch dates, it's best to take such revelations with a pinch of scepticism. That said, if there is any truth to these leaks and their reported timing, an announcement might be impending.
