Call of Duty fans are 'done' with The Boys crossovers

Call of Duty players have revealed they're "done" with The Boys crossovers and don't want the superhero show to make an appearance in MW3 again.

Activision's Call of Duty is no stranger to collabs, with DOOM, celebrities like Nicki Minaj, multiple Dune crossovers, and now The Walking Dead all making appearances.

Without a doubt, one of the most successful crossovers was the original event with The Boys, which added Homelander, Starlight, and Black Noir to the game.

Sledgehammer looked to replicate this success with another The Boys collab in Season 1 Reloaded, but this time adding Firecracker and A-Train as Operators.

While still popular, CoD fans have made it clear they're "done" with The Boys and hope this is the last time The Seven take over multiplayer.

Call of Duty players ask for no more collabs with The Boys

Taking to the ModernWarfareIII subreddit, user sdriz000 decided to share their opinion on the multiple crossovers with The Boys, claiming it's not their "cup of tea" and they're a little "tired" of the concept.

Well, they're certainly not the only ones with this point of view. Others have made it clear the devs have "ran The Boys into the ground now" and that this second event has been pretty "lame" compared to the first.

"I don't think I have a single thing done, couldn't care less about the show or event for one blueprint I will never use," said one user, with another arguing, "I know nothing about the show and don't care about it, I'm sick of seeing discount store superheroes in a military-themed game, it's so stupid."

Given the reception of the second event with The Boys, it'll be interesting to see whether it makes another appearance in the future.

Some fans still want a Butcher skin in Modern Warfare 3

Firecracker Operator MW3

Despite calls for The Boys to depart Call of Duty for the last time, some are still disappointed that Butcher from the series didn't get an Operator.

With Butcher being one of the main characters in the comics, and thanks to Karl Urban's portrayal in live-action, it makes no sense that he never got his own cosmetic. Even if we're 'done' with The Boys, it seems a shame to leave this bearded brute behind.

"Not until we get Butcher like WE SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN FROM THE START," said one user, with another claiming, "Would have been my first, and only, bundle purchase, if they had added Butcher and his actor did the voice lines."

Whether Butcher will ever get an Operator is a mystery, but it feels like even if he does, the devs have missed the best opportunity to add him to the game.
