Call Of Duty Could Be Adding Multiple Nuketown Maps In Black Ops 6

It just wouldn't be a Treyarch game without the nuclear nostalgia of Nuketown. Originating in 2010's Black Ops, the atomic testing ground has become a Call of Duty staple as we get ready to boot up Black Ops 6, we can't wait to see what weird and wonderful variant we get this time around.

There have already been complaints that Treyarch is tinkering with that classic formula too much, with some (seemingly incorrectly) assuming Sandhouse is our only Nuketown and complaints about the game's influx of tiny maps. Now, players are calling for a 'classic' Nuketown that harks back to the original.

Anyone else hoping Nuketown this year is just a traditional remaster of the BO1 skin?

Posting on Reddit, u/naz2348 said they hope we get a traditional Nuketown instead of one of the many variants like NUK3TOWN and Иuk3toши. The OP simply says, "I just want the OG Nuketown, no flashy twist, just BO1 Nuketown," with others in the comments agreeing but admitting it's unlikely.

One cheered, "Sure I'd take a classic Nuketown, but I'm hoping we get a rotation of remakes throughout the life of the game like they have with shipment, etc," while another added, "I just want classic Nuketown. But they sure as hell won't leave great enough alone. Go all out in other maps, but the nostalgia of OG Nuketown is better than any remastered stuff they put out imo."

Then again, with some getting tired of Nuketown being dished out and dolled up with every Black Ops, others were happy for it to take a rest. "I don't care about Nuketown or remastered variants of Nuketown. I want to see Summit, Firing Range and other older BO maps that haven't returned in a few years," said one.

With Black Ops 6 taking us through to 2025, many have argued it would be the perfect time to introduce a remastered version of Nuketown 2025 from Black Ops 2. We'll have to wait and see what Treyarch has up its sleeve, but there are rumours that we'll get multiple Nuketowns.

Only recently, there were whispers that Nuketown will effectively be Black Ops 6's Shipment and undergo various facelifts during the game's lifespan. Modern Warfare 3 dished out a slew of Shipment variants like Bit-ment and Ghost Ship, so if you like Nuketown, get ready to potentially see it a lot in BO6.

Remembering how Warzone's new Area 99 map confirmed Nuketown is just one of many versions, we'd suspected this might be the case. Even though this is sure to rattle both the Nuketown purists and those who are tired of Black Ops' over-reliance on the map, in Treyarch, we trust.
