Call of Duty has loved getting some big crossovers in-game, and it's instantly clear to anyone who lays an eye on them what the game is going for. The infinite crossovers deployed by Fortnite have rocked the world of free-to-play games like Overwatch 2 and Warzone.

Even though it might seem like they're running out of pop culture references to farm, devs keep managing to turn out fantastic events and interesting skins. Others have been trying to capitalise on this, but have fallen short purely because of how seriously they take themselves.

As the CoDverse treks on, Warzone and the mainline multiplayer have continued introducing their own crossovers regardless. A video game icon is officially set to arrive in the game, as Tomb Raider and Lara Crost are coming to Call of Duty.

Tomb Raider is confirmed to come to Call of Duty

It has been officially confirmed that Lara Croft herself is gearing up to make her debut appearance in Call of Duty. The announcement was made on the official Call of Duty Twitter account, with a short animatic featuring the silhouette of Lara peering out of a cave and boasting her akimbo pistols in hand.

Although it hasn't been revealed when exactly the Tomb Raider collab will join the game, Ms. Croft is expected to be an item shop drop that lands mid-season. We're not sure exactly what her presumed bundle will contain, but there's one request that fans have been issuing when it comes to the crossover.

Fans want Lara Croft's skin to be low-poly

Fans are hoping that when the skin officially drops, it will feature a version of her that is old-school and polygonal, much like her initial iconic appearances in her first games.

It's unlikely that Call of Duty would breach its dedication to "realism" - even in spite of the appearance of Jigsaw and Nicki Minaj on the battlefield. Enough with the picking and choosing, just give us the choppy graphics and angular Lara. It's what she would want.
